Budway Enterprises provides rail-transloading, inventory management and distribution services in Southern California. Located in Fontana, Calif., Budway is served by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe and the Union Pacific railroads and has five rail spurs able to spot 60 railcars simultaneously. The company has equipment to transload materials from boxcars, coil cars, center beam, flat cars and gondolas. It loads and delivers import materials from the break-bulk berths of both the Los Angeles and Long Beach harbors. Budway has two 30-ton overhead cranes and can transload using a number of lifts, including a 50,000-pound exterior forklift and a variety of boxcar lifts with capacities from 5,000 to 30,000 pounds. Materials can be stored in Budway s 17-acre yard or in its 120,000-square-foot warehouse. The company delivers products with its own truck fleet.
