Ezra Academy, founded in 1968, is a 7 through 12 grade junior and senior high school. It provides lessons in Judaic studies. The school offers various programs of Hebrew and Biblical studies, as well as Jewish laws and customs. Ezra Academy serves New York City, Long Island and Westchester, N.Y. It offers classes in English, math, art, computers, social studies and physical education. The school also provides classes in philosophy and laboratory science. Its elective classes include portfolio art, first aid, political science, business and economics, sociology and public speaking. Ezra Academy offers a variety of extracurricular activities, such as basketball, soccer, softball and chess. Its community service projects include nursing home visitation, food and clothing drive, Jewish poor home delivery and visitation program.
