Southwest junior High School is located in Forest Lake, Minn. Its curriculum includes art, math, social studies, business education, media, special education, English, music, world languages, industrial technology and science. It has various clubs, such as chess, Spanish, German, ski, climbing and environmental. It offers Olweus Bullying Prevention program to reduce and prevent victim problems among students at school. It offers extracurricular activities, such as after-school athletics, band, choir, dance and theater arts production, school newspaper and yearbook. Its parent-teacher student association provides planning and implementation of a variety of fundraising activities for the benefit of school. In addition, the school provides cafeteria with a variety of food menus.
