Provided by YP.comPLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING HERE, I have full confidence that Loyd is a great craftsmen but sadly he is a horrible business man. My family had a Heirloom clock in his shop for over a year. And we just received it back as if he had never touched it
Being that It was covid we were understanding that things might take a while. This is fine and all but it is important to keep your client up to date with the estimates and status of the order. There was a point in time where he seemed to fall off the face of the earth and we thought that he might have died from covid, he was so unresponsive that we had to check in with the Forest Park Department of Commerce to see if he had renewed his license just to see if he was still kicking. But the way in which his business is run, by having to make an appointment is not reliable. It would be if he were to return phone calls or simply answer the phone, but he does not.
It took my family around 5 months to get our clock back and he had not even touched it. When I finally did get a hold of him he was upset with the amount of time I had called him, being that it was interfering with his work, this of course could all have been avoided if he were to answer calls or simply be reliable when it comes to calling people back.
I STRONGLY recommend people to avoid this shop especially if you have an important piece of history that has sentimental value to it. If you do decide to do business with Loyd be prepared to be taken for a ride and, be comfortable with a little Shrew of a man being upset when you wonder why no work has been done on your clock when it has been in the shop for over a year.

Provided by YP.comThe man who runs this shop is very nice, extremely knowledgeable about clocks and watches, and is very honest. If you are in a hurry he can keep you talking. He even does house calls for very large grand father clocks. His prices are pretty good too. It is nice to still find old world values and craftsmanship at a fair price. We have been taking our watches and clocks here for several years and always had great service.

Tucked away on Roosevelt Rd...but what a find. The owner is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Pricing is very reasonable. Check hours before going as they don't open till noon. Worth the trip, your clock/watch will thank you.
