Provided by YP.comHighly recommend Best Western to all my friends and family. They are up front and know how to explain car concerns to people who are not 'car buffs'. They offer great warranties and the cost of repairs have always been very reasonable.

I took my 2002 Town & Country van to Best Western Transmission in early July 2011. They rebuilt the transmission and came in under their original quote. There was a subtle problem with the transmission which took a couple of more visits to the shop to figure out. This was incredibly stressful for me, as we were in the process of closing on a house and our budget was very tight; also the van is my primary mode of transport for getting my kids around Fort Collins. However, any anxiety I felt was calmed by the incredible professionalism of Bernie Salazar, the manager of Best Western Transmission. I have never met a more professional person in the automobile industry. Every time I talked to him he responded with respect and professional manners -- "Sir, we will get this fixed." "Here you are sir. If you have any problems, please come back and see me." What incredible CUSTOMER SERVICE! This is a shop managed by a man with integrity.

I took my wife's van here to get inspected. I was given a quote saying the work would be done around 1700$. I took this estimate around and had it looked at and compared prices. The price was so low it could not be beat. So I had Best Western start working on the transmission. I received a call from Jack the next morning saying that a NEW part was needed and would raise the price to 2600$+. I called around seeing what part this is that was needed and the shops I called said I was SUCKERED into a bait and switch! After about a 30 min talk wife my wife we decided to switch shops. I called Jack back and the price dropped from 2600 to 2200......SO still feeling that this guy is trying to scam me I tell him NO get my van ready to be towed. Even after losing our business he charged me 350$ for "removal and installation" wich the transmission was completely installed when it was towed. If you have transmission problems AVOID this place!

Provided by YP.comThis place will rip you off and smile while doing it! My wifes mini van was having problems I took it here for the "free" estimate. The quoted me a SUPER low price. I should have know it to good to be true... I took the quote to two other shops they said they couldnt beat it, so i had Best Western start the work. The next day I get a call saying instead of 1700$ its going to be 2600$+ . I wrote down what Jack said i needed called both other shops back up. BOTH said I was baited and suckered in! I still had to pay to get my Van released from these guys wich was another 350$ for "removal" and "installation" wich it was even totaly put back together. AVOID THIS PLACE! Don't become another victim to this place!!!
SuperGeorgieBoy, I'm not entirely sure what happen in this case and why we couldn't earn your business. I'm sorry your experience with us did not turn out as well as we would like. We generally provide estimates based on the standard costs of rebuilding a transmission, which includes replacing all internal seals, gaskets, bushings, friction materials and electronics. In some instances, we remove the transmission from the vehicle and disassemble it only to find that the metal case of the transmission is cracked, or internal metal parts, such as the gear set, pump, or output shaft are damaged and need to be replaced. These are parts that do not normally need to be replaced, and in either of those situations, the estimate would need to be increased for the cost of the parts alone, but no additional labor. Again, I’d like to know more about what happened in your case. Jack is no longer the manager of our Fort Collins shop. We replaced him about three weeks after your visit. I own the entire chain of Best Western Transmission shops, and I am in the Fort Collins area at least twice a month. If you are interested, I would like to time one of my trips to fit your schedule, and you could tell me more about your experience. I’d like the opportunity to earn your future business and make up for the frustrations you’ve already experienced. If you’re interested, call the shop and my new manager will set it up with you.
