Save your money and headaches!

Tom Glanz was contacted by our land owner to install a 50 amp breaker & electric socket for our RV back on 4/25/17. He agreed to be done in 3 weeks, our arrival date. On 5/24/17 , the work still had not been done. The land owner called him & he claimed that snow had prevented doing the work. At my insistence, Mr. Glanz finally did send 2 guys that day or I would have no electric service for several more days. They showed up without the proper materials. The work was to install a new breaker box, connect the wiring, run approx. 70 ft. of conduit over to the RV, place a post, & mount the electrical plug, all installed to code. We dug the ditch & provided the pole because they did not bring one with them, then used 1" conduit because it was all they had on the truck. I questioned this & the younger man said, "it will be cheaper this way," but took them nearly two hours to feed the lines through. A 1 hour job took almost 3 & they moved like snails, talked a lot, not working while talking. I helped dig out the ditch ends & did all the backfill to help them finish! 6 wks later, a bill arrived & the owner was concerned about it & felt we had been over-charged by $300 for the work based on previous jobs. He suggested I contact Mr. Glanz & ask him to review since I did some of the work. With no breakdown I did not know what the $846.39 was for. After a week, Mr. Glanz reluctantly agreed to take $100 off but refused to issue a new invoice, & it was dated 6/30/17, received 7/11/17 & due 7/15/17. He admitted it the time was high for the work done but Mr. Glanz never explained the near $600 for labor. In email from his "accountant" I was told to pay by 7/30/17 or the $100 off was off & threatened the land owner if not paid. Extortion! I reluctantly paid by check, minus the $100, marked it paid-in-full, mailed on 7/31/17 & I filed a complaint with the BBB. Mr. Glanz responded citing I was not his customer but cashed my check. Will fight this bill. Do not use this business unless you get a full quote in writing in advance and then hold them to the work and schedule agreed to so you don't get over-billed or screwed over like we did!!!
