I offer a whole environment specially tailored to help little people grow into healthy, happy bigger people. I create an engaging curriculum by blending children's interests and social awareness with natural learning and experiences. Children grow to their fullest potential by enriching the environment to encourage and support them. I further implement my favorite theories of Steiner, Gardner, and Montessori to create a program that emphasizes the joy of childhood. Activities highlight creative arts, natural classrooms, independent thinking, empathy, and individual stages of development. The curriculum is approved by Colorado and is aligned with the Colorado Early Learning & Development Guidelines. By laying a foundation for social skills, knowledge and self-confidence, it paves the way for continued success in kindergarten and beyond. Children who go to effective preschool are: - More likely to become efficient readers and achieve higher grades. - More likely to graduate from high school and attend college - More likely to become successful adults and enjoy lifelong learning. A gentle approach to early learning allows children the freedom to express their creativity, to explore their world, and to develop their inner strengths and resources. My role in this environment is to assist and guide allowing children to utilize their full imaginations and play their way through the learning process. Developmentally appropriate environments concentrate on activities that are based on children's strengths rather than ages. I find this type of environment individualized and more comfortable.
