Nice facility with friendly people - indoor and outdoor arenas, large turnout, easy access to trails.

Caring staff, my foot! Before I moved in, they said they would level the run for the stall they chose for me. Almost two years later, they haven't even made a move to start on the project. After my horse fell in the run multiple times, I pulled out the slippery rubber mat --- and had to throw a temper tantrum to keep them from putting it back in, regardless of my horse's welfare. The first year I was there, there were no lights in the barn. Now, they're no longer cleaning up the manure pile right next to the barn, so the flies in the barn were terrible last summer. The shavings (stored outside) got wet last summer and fall and are now frozen solid. Boarders are digging tunnels into the inside of the pile (in subzero weather) to try to find usuable shavings, but we're quickly running out of those --- and even if you find some, they're wet. The owners said they're not going to order any more, so we're going to have to buy our own if we want shavings in our stalls --- but there's no decrease in the board fees. The arena is VERY dusty. The hay is not very good. The round pen footing is rock hard. The only reason I haven't left is because my horse doesn't move well (usually about $1,000/move vet bills from ulcers, etc.), but even so, I'm considering a move because things have deteriorated so badly. So far, I've been able to keep my horse comfortable, but if it gets so bad she's suffering ill effects, then there's no longer a reason to stay. I would SURE not move here under the conditions now. I've NEVER been a stable this badly managed.
