United Way of Larimer County's 2-1-1 program provides nonemergency assistance and community services. Its service range includes providing information about clothing, food, rent, shelter, support groups, parenting and volunteerism to the communities. Based in Fort Collins, Colo., its United Way 2-1-1 program is a part of national movement that utilizes trained information and referral specialists for rendering community services in times of peace and disaster. It provides aging services, disaster recovery, donation referrals, food, housing and utility assistance, health and medical needs and legal assistance. The volunteer center of United Way 2-1-1 provides volunteer placement and opportunities for businesses, families, groups, individuals, nonprofit organizations and youth.
