Jefferson Rehabilitation Center provides services to persons with disabilities through education, vocational opportunities, training and residential services. It has been serving the community for more than 50 years, and it has a full-time staff that includes supervisors, the maintenance and safety committee staff, quality services staff and the program participants. The organization has more than 30 individual residential facilities and intermediate care centers. It offers various services for the personal growth and development of individuals, such as training in activities of daily living, self-care skills, community services and socialization. It also offers various adult programs, including day treatment and habilitation; and vocational training in the areas of packaging, bulk mailings, tag and binder assembly, silk screening, printing and document scanning. It provides speech and language therapies, prekindergarten readiness skill classes and self- help abilities to children through its Bright Beginnings Early Learning Center. Jefferson Rehabilitation Center is approved by the Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission, and is located in Watertown and Fort Drum, N.Y.
