The History of InterMarine
Founded in 1995, InterMarine has been a success story from the start. Our original management staff, which is still in place today, opened its doors in Pompano Beach, Florida introducing Doral boats into America from Canada. The rapid acceptance of Doral boats into the United States marketplace was the building bricks of a strong client base for InterMarine. With this ever-growing client base, InterMarine quickly grew out of its original facility and relocated its base of operation just a short distance south to Dania Beach in 1998. The location of this new facility allowed InterMarine to grow its customer base south to encompass Broward and Dade counties. In 1999, InterMarine set its sights north into Palm Beach County to satisfy their next expansion quest as well as the demand for their client base. InterMarine purchased what we now call InterMarine Jupiter. This facility is a full service marina which houses a complete parts and service department, dry storage, wet slips, and sales center. Our sales department has also evolved into a second line as we introduced Chris Craft, a 130-year-old American icon, into our sales portfolio. Having two high-end dealerships to fill our portfolio, Doral and Chris Craft, polished our sales skills as well as our customer service end of the business, our roots in this business. With the ever-growing demand for quality marine service, InterMarine recognized the need for yet a larger facility to service the vastly populated Broward and Dade counties. In 2004, InterMarine acquired a 5 acre marina located in Ft. Lauderdale on the water and centrally located within the heart of our client base. This facility is primarily recognized as our service center but houses a sales center as well. Just one year later in 2005, our management staff decided to add the Four Winns boat line into our sales portfolio. This allowed us to diversify into a different client base other than what we were used to by offering the public an affordable line of runabouts, deck boats, cuddy cabins, sport cruisers and cruisers. Lastly, over the past few years, InterMarine's focus has been on policies and procedures in the quest to become one of South Florida's first certified marine dealerships. This involved a tremendous amount of documentation as well as a few staff additions to take us to the next level. For example, we brought a 25 year veteran into our management staff with 15 years of direct dry storage and marine operation experience having a vision of developing and managing our next venture. During this time we also added more boat lines to polish our brand lineup, including Axis, Bayliner, Malibu, Chaparral, Larson, and Prestige Yachts. Being certified, our present management staff is constantly striving to fine-tune our systems to be recognized as the very best in our industry.

I bought a brand new boat but they sold me something different than what I received, then I tried to deal with the issues and they acted as though they were doing me a favor. They were consistently rude and (Jeff in service) tried to physically strike me.
The owner cares even less than his employees. He made various promises to rectify the issues but he never followed through with anything. I had to call the manufacturer to get anything done and even then, it was like pulling teeth to get the very basic tasks completed.
This was a truly horrible experience and I would highly recommend that anyone stay far away from this place!
If you read all the reviews, youll find that the boats which had no issues, had good reviews; but the boats with any issues which required their attention have horrible reviews. They are not in the business of customer service... they are in the business of pushing numbers and thats it.
