Provided by YP.comOcean Manor has stepped up to the plate and has remodeled 80% of their rooms and will be 100% done by the end of Summer. This is one of the first Buildings on Galt Ocean Drive and has come a long way. The Tiki Bar is fun with great food and Casa Calabria is opening in February. You can look up the rooms on the website.

Provided by YP.comA friend recommended I stay at Ocean Manor because of the low prices. They are low compared to other beachfront hotels but the adage "You get what you pay for" is my new motto after staying here.
I usually stay on South Beach in hotels that are much older than Ocean Manor but have been totally refurbished. The photos on Ocean Manor's website are very misleading. Our room had old mismatched furniture, a toilet that didn't flush, no blanket and an awkward drywall partition that was a poor attempt to make a suite out of a small room.
There was actually a sign in the bathroom claiming that their towels are so popular that they can be purchased, obviously an attempt to keep guests from stealing them. These towels were course, thin, cheap towels that I wouldn't even use to wash my car.
All had holes in them and were threadbare.
There is a restaurant/disco in the lobby that kept us up all night with blaring techno music. The person at the desk was rude when we complained. We decided not to try the restaurant after another couple told us that they were charged $200 for a meal, the extra costs were in small print.
If you are looking for low price beach motels I would recommend North Beach, a section of motels on Hollywood Beach just south of Dania Beach Blvd. They are not luxury hotels but they do not mislead you into believing they are.
If you decide to stay at Ocean Manor, ask to see the room first. Mismatched, cheap furniture may have been in style in the 90s but this hotel just threw a bunch of cheap, old furnishings, lamps and two big TVs within 3 feet of each other, one on each side of the faux partition.
Never again!
Lastly, it appeared that they had an open DSL but there was 0 reception. Not one bar. I can't remember the last hotel I stayed at with no internet capabilities.

Provided by YP.comI stayed one night and was charged for 4 nights! When I called the manager, he told me "Sorry, our records indicate that you stayed for 4 nights". I told him he was mistaken, but he refused to credit me the extra few hundred dollars they charged me in error!!!
