I have been associated with LSH since 1998; as their Nature Lady,I present Nature Programs monthly. I am a member of the Fort Lauderdale Garden Club (28 years)..each year LSH Pre-K students enter our Annual Youth Flower Show..the love their ribbons !!! I am presently the President of LSH Board of Directors. I have investigated the incident reported by Cansu C.; In the 20 years of my association with these teachers, the safety of the students has always been a priority.

It has only been about one month new at this daycare. This place has a bully parent who physically assaulted my 3 year old and myself! The staff stood around, did not de-escalate the situation, did not even tell her to quit cursing like a sailor in front of all those kids! This is the 2nd occasion with the same parent! I’m not scared of the parent, the fact that this nonsense wasn’t even second looked by the staff - just let’s me know that it’s not safe enough for my child to attend because no matter what- those children should have been hauled into the class the way that parent was behaving. Either the parent and staff are friends, the staff didn’t care or the staff were scared. Either way, I can not afford to take risks with my child. Proper personnel have been contacted as well as outside authorities. And also! The parent told me that my drivers license is suspended. How does she know my name?

This school is MONEY HUNGRY. I heard many great things about this preschool and was excited for my child to attend. I was instructed to pay a $75.00 non refundable deposit fee and also encouraged to pay my daughters weekly tuition fee early. I transferred jobs and this preschool would be to far out the way for my child to attend. I spoke with the director and well the saying proves true “You get what you pay for.” I inquired with the director how do they refund prepaid tuition and the response I received left me flabbergasted! I was told “ I do not go back to the bank, any money that you paid even if it was early is non refundable.” It disheartens me to learn that United Methodist Church of Ft. Lauderdale backs/donates to a facility that robs the community.
