i have been a customer with this bank for many years. Ive been paying a mortgage to them for 25 years. I have plenty of equity in the home to borrow on it, but because I had lost my job of 30 years due to the economy and fell behind on my payment a couple times the bank would not work with me. I wanted to refinance when my furnace went out, which could have lowered my payment and made it more manageable as well as make a much needed repair. The loan officer did not even take it to the board and just flat told me NO. I will be moving to another bank. What happened to the idea of taking care of your customers? The bankers of the past were always willing to work with us and look at the whole picture. You would think that being a small town business they would want to take care of THEIR people. Unfortunately it is not that way with this bank.
