Grouper or Catfish you decide

My friend and I are Ft. Myers Beach residents and have enjoyed food at many of the local restaurants. We decided to go to Parrot Key, big mistake. She ordered blacken grouper tacos, which were fine, not the best. I ordered the grouper plate which was a mix of cat fish and a few pieces of under cooked grouper. Very disappointed. The waiter who was fabulous sent the General Manager over to our table, of course we did not know who the man was as he did not even introduce himself. I explained that I did not order cat fish but that it was on my plate and that was unacceptable, I hate catfish. He said we don't do that. I said apparently you do because that is exactly what it was. Be careful dinners, there are places that do this in the beach area.....this is one of them. The waiter rocked! We will not come back though.

Great food with a wonderful atmosphere. Awesome appetizers.

This was our second time there and it was just as good as the first.

Friday night features a great two piece band to accompanying a wonderful casual dining experience.

Lunch 3/19/13

I only eat at Parrot Key 2 or 3 times a year and have always been happy with the food--but not today. I ordered the chicken wrap--the chicken tasted old, cold and dry. Had the sweet potatoe fries, barely warm and soggy. My Mom had the Quesadilla (sp), and it was the same, tasted like leftover chicken. It was about 2 p.m. So disappointing.

BOGO...NOT!!

We went in with a BOGO coupon. However, we got charged for everything anyway. Everything was overcooked. Plus they added a 22% tip and the drink was so water down I'm not sure there was any booze in it. I even told the waiter who offered to have another made but told me I would have to pay for both. Don't waste you money. There are too many good restaurants in the area.
