I'm not sure what the previous poster was talking about. This church does not feel like a country club. We church shopped at a few different churches before becoming members here. They have an EXCELLENT program for children. That was our main draw. Our daughter loves Ms. Samantha and Ms. Renee in the church nursery on Sundays/Wednesdays. They do a variety of activities with the children which usually includes a Bible lesson and arts/crafts activity, even for the babies! Carol Herdic has created about 30 different small groups available for a variety of people which makes it so easy to get involved in the church. Pastor Jones is wonderful and his sermons stick with you throughout the week. The last reviewer said there are not many different ethniticities at this church. She must not go to the same service we go to because we've seen all kinds of people there. Everyone is welcome at this church.

I went 3 times and it felt like a county club. It did not feel like a UMC church at all. The front office very cold an not helpful at all when trying to get info about food bank. They made me feel bad for asking for food. When it came to my little girls, I did not feel like they wanted my girls to come to Sunday school. They made it very difficult for visitors to get a feel for the heart of the church, it felt very much like a prison than a Sunday school. We choose Faith UMC, where they are very welcoming to all kinds of races of people. My girls love how at home they feel in the halls of the church. Cypress Lake UMC could learn a thing or 2 about hospitality from Faith UMC.
