Dr. Padilla is a board-eligible ophthalmologist who recently completed an ASOPRS Oculofacial Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital. During his fellowship, he was an Attending Physician at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Surgery in Ophthalmology at Thomas Jefferson University. He is trained in the following advanced techniques: Eyelid Surgery, Brow Surgery, Skin Cancer, Lacrimal Surgery and Eye and Facial Trauma.He received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine followed by an internship at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He then completed his residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa in 2018. A few of his many professional society memberships include American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Tampa Bay Ophthalmology Society, The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Medical Association and The Florida Society of Ophthalmology. He has published many articles and book chapters on Age Related Macular Degeneration, Progress in Retinal and Eye Research, Hereditary Optic Neuropathy and Ipsilateral Supraorbital Nerve Transfer. Dr. Padilla received a fine arts scholarship to Albertson College of Idaho where he graduated Cum Laude, in three years, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Padilla infuses the dynamic intersection of art and functionality through oculoplastic surgery to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. His philosophy is to treat every patient as family and help them to look and feel their best so they can enjoy every day to the fullest!
