Feel sorry for staff as they are good. Psychiatric doctors. .. disaster. Don't care if you go off meds without titrating down. Rude, egomaniacal not a safe place. Doctors attitude is....good enough for government work. They should be ashamed of themselves. Do not recommend.

Try not to go there

It's dirty. I've been 3 times and I have seen a different person every time, not all are doctors. The "psychiatrists" are tired, disorganized and weird. Today I came for a 1:45 appointment, but I arrived at 1:48. The receptionist even noted that I arrived within 5 minutes of my appointment time. (after all I did rush out of work, skip lunch, and run my 3 year old over to the babysitter's on the other side of town, but still less than 5 minutes late.) The receptionist apologized but said that they had already taken back the next person waiting instead of me. I say ok, then sit down thinking she will see me next. I wait for 30 minutes, then the receptionist calls me up to the desk and tells me the "doctor" won't see me because I was late, but if I want to wait 45 minutes, she could see me later at 3:00. I said I couldn't wait anymore bc I had to pick up my other kids from school. Oh well, I was told she did not have another appointment available for like a month+. Why did they have me wait there for half an hour to tell me I wouldn't be seen because I was 3-4 minutes late? It's true if you're not already crazy, this place will make you so.

Let me tell you about these miserable pricks at New Horizons!

I went there in order to fulfill an obligation with the Department of Education who said I needed to be seen by a psychiatrist in order to participate in a couple of their programs.

One of those programs was the "Discharge Application for Total & Permanent Disability.

On my very first appointment there I spoke with a woman who explained to me that she wasn't M.D. or Psychiatrist, thus she couldn't fill out the paperwork I had brought with me, but she said she would set me up with someone there who COULD do that for.

A couple of weeks later I saw a very ragged and worn Dr. Laranga who was coughing like he had the PLAGUE while he whined about his long trip back from Jacksonville that morning.

This NUTBASKET was literally talking to himself while I sat there in his office trying to get his attention to help me out!

I explained the "Discharge Application" and asked for his help with it.

Upon leaving that afternoon he took me up to the front desk, took my "Discharge Application" and assured me that he'd have it sent in for me.

He then set up another appointment for 3 weeks down the road.

After two weeks I decided to call the Department of Education to see if they had gotten those papers yet.

They told me they hadn't gotten anything.

After hearing that I call New Horizons to ask them why the DOE hadn't gotten them yet?

I was told...and I quote.."We don't do that."

I said, :what?"...."what do you mean you don't do that?"

"You took my paperwork, you said you were going to?"

These pricks even had the audacity to remind me of next weeks appointment, as if them LYING TO ME shouldn't have any effect on me coming back!

Once you lie to me...THAT'S IT!!!...I'M DONE!!!

Yes folks, that New Horizon's.

If you aren't already crazy when you get there, they'll make sure you ARE when you leave!

DO NOT use these people!
