I am sorry to say..we have stopped buying the Smak..I see someone else has written in..now..so we will also..and maybe they will fix the problems.

We stopped buying it last year after we heard of the owners passing on..to bigger and better things..we will miss Bryant and his father Astor..they made sure their custmers were happy with the products they sold.

They served our city for a long time..they will surely be missed.

Now to the business at hand..did they not leave the recipe of the original Snak product behind??..I am wondering..this maybe why it is full of mayonaise..because it used to be so thick..and nice..you could actully dip it with a icecream scooper and put in on a plate..really good quick lunch.

I will write this in hopes the new owners will fix this problem..the Summerlins really had a good thing going..please go back to the old recipe new owners...also..I say!

Us locals know how it is supposed to taste..I feel for the northerners who buy that mayo at that big price also!

Oh gosh...how we loved Baywoods smoked fish and Smak! Things have surely changed..!!

Last week we purchased 2 qt. containers of the Smak for nearly $50.00 and some change....these days..which I can understand prices have gone up everywhere..which we didnt mind paying the price..its not that..at all..we have always loved the Smak product..been eating it for at least 20 years..

Oh my..we opened it last night..it has turned into a VERY MAYONAISEY situation..here..what on earth is going on..yall are diluting the delicous Smak so much you can taste the mayo over the smoked fish..we were so dissapointed..I am hoping you will see this review and go back to your original smak recipe..I know it has changed and its not a good change!

We had several hometown Fort Pierce people at our house that night and everyone was so surprised that the good ole Smak has now turned into an expenisve mayonaise flooded spread! Bummer!

We put it up and went to our local smoke person..got some smoked fish ground it up and put it in the containers..so at least we could dilute the mayo..and eat some good ole Smak..like it used to be..

Come on yall...get it back together and get that Smak back the way its supposed to be..a thick smoked fish spread so thick..we had to dilute it..to spread it..we dont mind paying the BIG price..but we do mind paying that price for all that Mayo!!!!
