Excellent service and excellent food. I love their bourbon glazed salmon. Their prices are very fair.

Usually good service but last night was the worst! Had a waiter approached us at the head of the table by my son. He introduced himself as Chris and that he would be getting our drink order. I said we (hubby and I THAT WERE PAYING THE BILL FOR 9 PEOPLE) will have water and Dr. Pepper and before I could even get the Dr. Pepper out he interrupted me and said "excuse me, I will start at the end of the table right here and go around". OMGoodness! My son in law looked at me in dismay like 'did he really just cut you off?'. I said to the waiter "you are the boss, this is your show". Of course, it went downhill from there, everything he did wrong just magnified. Now my son in law is a very sweet forgiving person but he even got upset at this guy for just standing there talking about how precious our grandbabies were and wanted to know all the names and ages and proceeded to tell us how old his children were and that it was his second marriage...omgoodness, we came here to eat not socialize with the wait staff. I think he was truly trying to make up for being so rude about the "I am not a very good waiter bc I can only take drink and food orders in order lest I forget who gets what...WE WILL REMIND YOU, WE WONT' FORGET WHAT WE ORDERED!!!" and we won't care if you forget!! Needless to say, our smallest grandchild was crying and irritable bf the food got there bc she is a baby is was hungry for her dinner. Then this tops it all off. The children and grand children has all dispersed and I was waiting for my credit card to be returned and the waiter was clearing the table (I am thinking it was a little pressure to get me to write a bigger tip bc he was watching, however, that works just the opposite for me. I will give you a tip for what service you provided me but in this case I was way to generous and left his 10% which was more than he deserved. OH...one more thing...I used to wait tables and I am a minimum 20% tipper, and at Christmastime I am usually VERY generous. This guy could have made off like a bandit but not tonight!

Honestly, I was very disappointed tonight with Cheddars. My food was bad, my green beans were bitter sweet. My mac n cheese was hard, the coleslaw made me want to vomit. The spinach dip tasted like Popeyes spinach in a can, the cheese was non existent, and what cheese there was, tasted like rubber! I'm very upset, considering I love Chedders! The service if that's what you want to call it, was absolutely awful! Our waitress never offered a refill. When we told her we were unhappy with our food the only thing she said was is "What do you want me to do about it?" "Our kitchen closes in 10 minuetes." So we asked to see a manager, he was very polite and offered us something else, which at that point we didn't want anything. He even took off the spinach dip and a vegetable plate. Over all, I doubt I'll be returning to Chedders, not anytime soon anyway.
