After the new year I went through a rough time, they understood that and agreed to settle! The woman I spoke with was extremely nice.

Be wary of what these folks and other collectors tell you; they contacted me out of the blue after 2 years receiving a hospital bill which the provider for whom they are supposedly collecting NEVER sent a bill land NEVER made a phone call while I have have the same address and phone number for over 5 years. I asked for an invoice detailing the service and only received a letter demanding payment. I went ahead and made the payment with the plan to review this further later, but then found out they IMMEDIATELY reported it the the credit agencies! So, now I have to amp up my efforts to see for exactly how much these folks are ripping me off. In the mean time, if they are pulling this with you too, check out the FTC for help:

Honestly, I think everyone here is just incompetent, but in this economy, I don't have any additional dollars to support incompetence, stupidity, and just a tad of maliciousness kids.
