Good afternoon, Jennie. I'm a volunteer at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary in Albion. Today, a gentleman visited who saw my name tag and asked if I knew Jennie Oetting. I didn't, but I was familiar with Oetting Services. Anyway, I showed him around and he took a lot of pictures (unfortunately, I didn't get him name). But, I'm writing to let you know about an upcoming "Oetting Reunion" to be held in Moab, Utah next October. It's being hosted by Donna Anderson-Jordan, who actually wrote a book about the 'Odo' tribe, which eventually took the Oetting name from a small village in Germany called Ottingham. I'm just writing to let you know that - if you have any interest - you're certainly welcome to attend this gathering in Utah on October 5-8. If you have any questions, or would like to know more, I'd be happy to put you in touch with Donna. I know she's found hundreds of 'Oettings' from all over the world. While I don't expect it to be a 'huge' turnout, it might be fun if a couple dozen of us 'Oettings' congregate and get together for what could be a scenic trip in the Utah desert.
