These people humble us and we feel honored to help them.Since 1946, when Mr. Baker began his modest practice in young Cow Town, Baker Orthotics & Prosthetics has been known for consistently producing top-quality, custom-fabricated devices within a "patient-first" environment. Today, we proudly carry forward this time-honored tradition by incorporating the newest technology with the old-fashioned work ethic and dedication to our patients that have long been synonymous with the Baker name.Our clinical staff is fully licensed to dispense all types of custom-made and off-the-shelf prosthetic and orthotic devices.Baker O&P is housed in a free-standing, 6, 000 square foot clinical building nestled in easy reach of Fort Worth's busy Hospital District, Downtown, and major freeways. Like our staff, our facility is nationally accredited by ABC and fully licensed by the Texas State Departments of Health.Baker manufactures custom devices of every description in its fully self-contained, custom-designed, fabrication lab. Located just down the street on Pennsylvania, our lab boasts ample storage room, opportunity for growth, and over a dozen independent work stations with specialties of every aspect of fabrication and assembly for prosthetic and orthotic devices.Gordon graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1989. He received his Prosthetics Certification in 1991 from the American Board of Certification, Prosthetic and Orthotics. He then received his Orthotics certification in 1992. He began his career at the Dallas Rehabilitation Institute as the Director of Orthotics and Prosthetics. He then moved to San Antonio, TX where he became the branch manager for NovaCare. He was then promoted to Clinical Director of the South Texas Market. After excelling in this position, he was chosen as the Director of the Upper Extremity Program for NovaCare/Hanger Orthopedic Group, Inc He ended his career with Hanger as the Vice President of Practice Development.
