Dr. Carlton then completed his internship and general surgery residency at the renowned Allegheny General Hospital, Thompson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals in the nation, in Pittsburgh.Dr. Carlton presented his research and several case presentations at national conferences. Finally, Dr. Carlton completed a fellowship in bariatric and robotic surgery at BMI of Texas in San Antonio with Drs. Duperier and Seger and the University of Texas at Houston with Dr. Wilson as a Minimally Invasive Surgeon of Texas (MIST) member.
