Dr. Pancham is the first physician in his family. Being the oldest amongst many cousins growing up together, he was always the responsible big brother tending to the younger ones in the family. Dr. Pancham completed his medical school at Nilratan Sircar Medical College, one of eastern India's oldest and prestigious medical institutions, and moved to Philadelphia for his residency training in Pediatrics. His interactions and mentoring from the pediatric pulmonologists at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia inspired him to become a pulmonologist and pursue his fellowship training at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Before coming to Cook Children’s Hospital, Dr. Pancham was on faculty at Kentucky Children’s Hospital, the University of KY, where he lead the pediatric pulmonary research and served as the director of the bronchoscopy program.
