Provided by YP.comOakes bought my former dentist's practice and so he was a given to use when I went for a check up. The diagnosis was seven cavities, and two crowns. I let him do a crown first, and none of the "cavities". He filed (it fit so poorly) the crown down flat, but it still gave me extreme discomfort. His alternate diagnosis: a root canal. So I went to a different dentist, and told the new dentist nothing of Oakes diagnosis. The new dentist's diagnosis: NOT A SINGLE CAVITY... and I probably needed a crown. (Oakes had told me I needed two and I did let him do one that didn't fit, and gave me extreme discomfort) Other than that my mouth was very healthy. I questioned my new dentist, and asked if he was absolutely SURE I had NO cavities. ABSOLUTELTY YES! was his reply. He adjusted the crown that was giving me discomfort and told me to let him know if it helped. It didn't. I went back to my new dentist and had him REPLACE the crown. I asked him why it gavew me discomfort and he told me there had been a pretty good amount of the OLD FILLING LEFT in the tooth and there was too much build up. I asked if I needed a root canal, the answer: NO. Since the crown was replaced I have absolutely NO PAIN or discomfort in that tooth and can chew on that side again.
