YOU WILL BE THANKFUL. this gym is horrible the one of beach and basswood is the worst the manager sucks when you first meet him he seems cool bud he changes moods and when he shows you around the place he talk too fast he only wants you to understand what is convenient for them. They have poor lack of communication with anything regarding the classes or locker sponges they threw away or kept my expensive watch that tracks down calories I burned I know u shouldn't have left it but I honestly trusted the place and ppl and I had a good locker. Also some of the machines are in bad condition and they never ever do anything to fix them . Other than that I will not try to cancel my membership because I would hate to go threw that trouble like others I will wait for my contract to be over with and I am done with that place . Well if you did read this you are welcome and thank you for reading . BUT Seriously save your self the problems and time with this place !!!

STAY AWAY
Felt like a complete bate and switch. We have 2 children and were looking for a gym with a short term daycare while we worked out. The manager completely lied to us about this! Every time we go (and I mean EVERY), their is clearly not enough supervision, and the daycare is always 'FULL', so we would have to wait 30-45 minutes before the kids would be let in. Then after 10 min, we would get called over the intercom to come pick up our children. Complete waste of time and money! So after 4-5 times of waiting just to be kicked out, we stopped going and figured we wasted our $350 up front fee.
Then to top it all off, we were told when we signed up that our one time payment covered everything, which was another complete lie. Now after over a year of not using the place, they are trying to charge us an additional $35 and say it is in the contract and we should have read it better!
Finally, when we called to find out what the $35 fee was for, the manager was completely rude! He told us we should have read the contract better, he wouldn't reverse the charges, yelled at me, and hung up! Talk about great customer service!

Provided by YP.comLies! Lies! Lies! No contract my a**. I go in for a $20 a month to month membership and somehow end up with a $250 bill and a 2 year agreement after three months. And they don't have their own billing department, they use an outside collection agency to process payments. A bureaucratic nightmare. Trying to get a refund is like pulling teeth.
I gave checking account info to start and was told a credit card was needed to be put on file. HA HA HA HA HA It was needed as a secondary means to fu** you when you have a problem caused by their own error. DO NOT!!! get a membership unless you get all papers copied and incidental fees explained.Economy is touch and this is one company that does what it takes to stay in business..
Oh yeah, and if you got a complaint, you can write it in a book for messages at the gym. No one will return your call but at least there is documentation of it. When you finally get ahold of the manager you're told to send complaint by email. BLAH BLAH BLAH effin BLAH puke puke! The management system is obiously made to exacerbate the person into just giving up. AWESOME BUSINESS!!!! lol
