Provided by YP.comI went to this place 3 weeks ago for glasses for myself and my husband. I was surprised at the charges since my insurance says that I only pay $10.00, I used the frames that the insurance covered and only upgraded the lenses which cost me $95.00 for both myself and my husband even though his prescription is bi-focal and I only have single vision. Anyway they told me that with the upgrade to my lense they had them in stock and I could get them faster so that is why I went on with the upgrade. After a week I called to check since I had not heard anything from them and they did not even know what had happened with the order. I asked them to check on it and get back with me which they did and told me that they had to send them to the lab of the insurance to have the lenses done. I asked if that is true then why did they tell me that the lense for my glasses were in stock? I was then told that the insurance requires that they send them to the insurance lab. I called the insurance and found out that that was the truth and that Pearl vision center had WAAAAAAAAAY over charged me. I called Pearl back and found out that yes they were aware that they owed me a total of $152.00 for the two pair of lenses that I was charged for but, they did not know what they could do. I told them they would refund my money. I was only ever allowed to speak to the clerks and never was I ever allowed to speak to a manager and when I asked for the manager I was told that he was not there and the clerks refused to give me his name. Finally a clerk called me back and said that when I come to pick up my glasses I would get my $152.00 back. I was pleased about that but, when I went today three and half weeks later to pick up my glasses I was told that I could have my glasses but I would not get a refund. I asked to speak to the manager and he again was not available, the clerk called him and then told me that he would be in on Thursday and could not speak to me because he had to go to class. This man has refused to even acknowledge me thus far and still refuses to give back my money. I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in the morning. I did finally get his name but, the phone number they gave me for him is only to another Pearl store in Arlington. Anthony Perez is the manager for the Eastchase store and the Cooper st Pearl. The clerks at both store refuse to give me any information about Anthony's direct supervisor or the name of the owners of the Pearl Vision centers that he manages. Run as far as you can they will steal your money and even when you catch them and they admit they refuse to give it back.
