Always helpful at the front desk (Daytime especially). Always lean towels, and sanitizer available. Most regulars are kind about weight use, and allowing others to work through. Very little intimidation. Good range of excercise equipment that is repaired almost immediately. Nice pool. Basketball courts. I would like to see these types of establishments get more of the recognition they deserve. Oddly enough many are critical about work output, and yet so very few I see giving back, or bettering themselves in ways that truely matter. This gym is just as good as any other I have been too, including Bally's, Fit for Life, or 24 hour fitness. The only one I have been to that was better was Gold's. And the only drawback I see, is the lack of saunas; especially with having quite a few elderly that it may help. For what you pay, you owe it to yourself.

Take the same money and Buy a Bowflex instead. Skip the YMCA. Too much waiting, too crowded, and who wants contracts? I used to be a member, but bought a Bowflex, now I can exercise at 3 am and not wait behind other people sweating on machines.
