We work hard and take pride in our work and when that people come on and write reviews the are lies it makes you upset just because I wouldn't do extra work and not get paid for it as for waiting 3 weeks before I showed up I told him we were scheduling out for three weeks.We took the trees down and got paid for it but we never got paid for the stumps because they weren't out the estimate and I explained that to him.WhenI stopped twice to do the stumps the yard was to wet to get the stump grinder back there the agreement was for your neighbor to get the wood that's why I did it so cheap can you understand tis now Scott

Pro: They are cheaper than the competition.
Con: You get what you pay for, and very unprofessional.

Executive Summary: They demand cash upfront prior to completing the job (my fault for complying). The job was never finished after 3+ weeks, and now Tom's phone is disconnected. I was left with a crushed fence that was newly installed just two years ago, and all of the wood and brush on my property to deal with.

Not sure why they wouldn't climb and limb the 5 small trees behind my new fence like the other quotes I got. This is the sole reason I didn't attempt such a job myself. On the first day, they dropped a tree on my new fence and seemed genuinely concerned about it. They said it would be fixed the next day. That was on June 17, 2018. The best part is that they asked for more than half the quotation up front because gas was so expensive, and he needed to fix his saw, etc. Against my better judgement, I gave in.

Tom came back and finished cutting 2 more trees out of the 5 ash trees during the next couple days. After that, there was a lull in the action - mostly due to rain. Several nice days went by and my wife was asking if our fence was ever going to get fixed. I tried calling, and it was very difficult to get hold of Tom. Eventually, I did and he came back on a Sunday evening to finish cutting down the trees. Grinding of the 5 stumps was quoted as part of the job too, but naturally Tom wanted the rest of the tree cutting money in cash before he left that night.

Sadly, that's where the story ends. All of the wood and brush from these trees was left on my property to kill the grass. Stumps still there, and I have spent the last two weekends using my chainsaw to cut them down so that I can at least muscle them into a trailer and haul away, as it started killing the grass and was an eyesore right behind our pool. After multiple attempts to reach Tom during the last two weeks to see if he had any interest in finishing the job, hauling the wood away, or even fixing our fence - I have given up and wanted to share our experience so that others can choose more wisely.

These 5 guys are absolutely fantastic! Such professionalism & teamwork.......constantly moving. It seems like they know what each other needs without asking & they're right there. Awesome job & clean-up...great price too. I'll be talking about them for a long time!!

Today was the second time Sam and Tom have been to our house taking care of trees. They did a wonderful job, they cleaned everything up perfect. They definitely know what they are doing. I highly recommend Saws and Spikes.
