Framingham Heart Study, also known as FHS, has been operational since 1948. It identifies common factors and characteristics that contribute to cardiovascular diseases. The center is a project of National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute and Boston University. Framingham Heart Study operates research review committees. It also has the Friends of the Framingham Heart Study.
