Always EXCELLENT.

I've seen Fun Fun Fun DJ's at many events over the years & they're always FUN. After seeing them do Prairie State parties, my family has had Loren Gent at my parent's anniversary & at numerous family weddings. That's why we HAD to have him at mine. We knew that the dj would be a very important part of our day & Loren was awesome. He was extremely helpful with unique ideas & ways to involve more of our guests. We had SO much fun (& many compliments) on our wedding day & it's largely because of our wonderful dj.

Ruined our Reception.

Absolutely the most disappointing DJ I could have imagined. Our DJ was John Kapec; I was completely embarrassed and mortified by his unprofessional antics, honestly I thought this was his first wedding. Why did I think that? For the following reasons:

-We paid extra for karaoke that did not work, and he did not offer us a refund, I had to demand it!

-In our contract we specifically stated to have separate cocktail hr. music, he did not set up correctly, blamed it on the hall, and didn't explain, I had to ask him why he failed to fulfill that part of our contract.

-He did not take the time to get our information (ie requests, names of bridal party etc.) I had to repeatedly call, leave messages, and wait for call backs. I finally got a call back--3 days before the wedding! He then had me email him all the details, as if he had no idea who I was.

-He then butchered pronunciations of our bridal party upon our entrance, I would guess largely due to the fact he wasn't familiar with our party.

-The entrance was nothing short of awkward, as he did a play by play "sports announcement" style of everyone walking, making the whole entrance very weird.

-He had a very stiff, uncomfortable demeanor with our guests, at times even saying, "wow you guys are quiet, huh huh huh".....yet HE was NOT playing any music!!

-The dinner music choices were terrible elevator music style picks that were boring as can be. We asked for lively, fun, upbeat music--that's not what we got.

-The first dance would have been fine if he wasn't a foot away from us blowing bubbles in our face and following us, which also screwed up many of our first dance pictures, as HE is in them! Awful.

-He played a song I asked him not to, so I had to have him play a mix CD that I made myself. He pressed play and didn't have to do any work for a good hour.

-He did our garter toss and bouquet toss a half an hour before the reception was over. I asked him to do it right after cake cutting, which was at 9 pm. Logistically, he was not even in tune with the appropriate sequence of events for a wedding.

-I had guests request songs that are 2008 and 2009 releases that he didn't have...because he only has cassette tapes he told my guests. I was mortified. I had asked for fun, club remixes---the owner told me, "sure no problem!" Yeah right, all the music was from the 1930's to 1990's. Thank God I mad my own back up!

Bottom line is this- I paid 1,275.00 for a service that was provided at an astonishingly unsatisfactory level, and for the most important event of our lives. I feel like a complete fool for booking them, and perhaps this was the only wedding they've ever ruined, but I wouldn't chance it. Please, be careful with this "company". Our DJ told me later that "you should know, that my real job is a handyman...so...." Apparently so. I still have guests asking me, "what was up with that DJ??"

Disappointing is saying the least.
