In 1983, Andy Koson began his metal working career, encouraging his passions to flourish. After two decades absorbing wisdom and expertise from his mentors, he became a one-man shop working on borrowed machines. During his taxing transition, he worked full-time as a CNC Machinist at Landis Plastics Corporation and into the late-night hours fighting to grow his personal brand. Fourteen years later, Andy Koson is the proud owner of two industrial units and a wide variety of machinery, employs five dedicated team members and has continuously upheld values of quality, accountability, innovation and tenacity. Grateful for humble beginnings and driven by a passion for metal work, Andy ensures that he and all employees take great pride in working with the partners of Koson Tool Inc. Proud to provide earnest quality of service, quality of care, and quality of products. In big business, success is measured by dollar signs. Whereas in small business, success is measured by their network and reputation. Within the web of small businesses, there is implicit mutual respect and trust built on the shared experiences of risking everything you know to chase a dream. Koson Tool Inc. practices dedicated accountability for not only long-time colleagues, but all business professionals. “The ability to adapt is the key to success.” –Andy Koson, Founder. Innovation is not only inevitable, it is necessary. Koson Tool Inc. understands that the needs of consumers are consistently changing and to remain relevant, as a brand, one must adapt. Perseverance is a value that has been integrated to the core of Koson Tool Inc. Not only could Andy not afford to fail with his business venture financially, he chose to put failure out of his mind because he had conviction. Conviction and tenacity will always prevail. Koson Tool Inc. has a broad range of partnerships, some began as colleagues when Andy was working on borrowed machines and others are multibillion-dollar companies looking to collaborate in creating progressive machining designs. But the one commonality each partner shares, is their value to Koson Tool Inc. For example, Culen Tool & MFG Co. has been a valuable partner since before Koson Tool Inc. officially opened its doors for business and continue to partner with die making projects. Another longstanding partner, Trinity Brand Industries, has requested services for punch and die sets year after year since 2004. As Koson Tool Inc. has grown, so has its network of partners. CommScope, a multibillion-dollar telecommunications corporation, has teamed up for nearly four years to machine prototype fixtures aiding in the future growth and optimization of network connections and bandwidth. Other partnerships require in depth communication with machinists, programmers and engineers. Koson Tool Inc. has worked with Active Network engineers to construct a prototype mold for race mat timers. After trial and tribulation, they will soon move to production stages.
