I was in from out of town and had to bring my son's guitar in to replace his strings. They were super helpful and nice and resonably priced. It is rare to find a music shop of this caliber in a town of this size. I was glad that I could support a local music shop.

The Doo Wop Shop goes above and beyond to treat our customers with respect and kindness. I truly sympathize with those folks but to expect to walk in a store and rent $3000.00 worth of equipment with no ID at all between 3 people, one driving a car is simply ludicrous. And then to try to turn it around on us because we didn't tell whomever called to get a rental rate that they would need ID to rent $3000.00 worth of equipment is unfair. The truth is, we were very nice to those folks and made sure they got the equipment they needed after sending someone who could provide ID. It's very difficult to please everyone in the world of customer service. We do the best we can. I wish those folks the absolute best and extend my condolences.

I went here today with my husband and sister-in-law to rent sound equipment for my father-in-law's funeral. We had someone call ahead explaining our situation and needs. When we arrived there, we were told we needed ID and 3 references (which had not been mentioned on the phone). Having had an emotionally trying past few days, somehow all three of us managed to forget our IDs. I explained our situation and asked if they could work with us at all, and accept the ID number instead of an actual copy. The man who was helping us, who I believe was the manager of the store, told us they could not do that (which is fine, I understand businesses have policies). However, the man then proceeded to tell us that we were not told this way required over the phone because "it's a no-brainer" that they would copy the ID (which, in my opinion, it isn't. It's fine that they want a copy of the ID & references, but we should have been told what was needed when we called). He was rude almost to the point of being cruel and made my sister-in-law cry. I would not do business with a company who believes it is okay to treat people in this way, and I sincerely hope that this issue is taken care of. I would give no stars based on customer service if I could.
