Fred Klenk was recommended to me by a friend of mine who is a contractor. I have never done any construction before so I relayed on his direction. When I called Fred came to my house, he told me that there was a $1,000.00 retainage. I was under the impression that I would have to pay $1,000.00 for the blue prints. I then received several bills adding up to $6,500 more in payments not including the $1,000 I had already paid. I have since talked to several people and other architects for amounts on drawings and they have said that they should have been no more than $1,000, I have even spoken to someone who would have only charged me $600 for the drawings. Not to mention that the blue prints for a mudroom add on to my home that is one story very very small. This is completely unfair and I have yet receive any deductions and they just keep on billing me.
