Franklin High School is a public institute that offers various academic programs, including general graduation, honors, advanced placement and dual enrollment courses. The school enrolls more than 1,000 students in grades nine through 12 and offers a variety of co-curricular and athletic activities within its programs. Its syllabus includes math, English language, biology, world history, physics, chemistry, anatomy and economics. The school houses a media center, computer and science labs, and various clubs that include chess, key, French, literary, ecology and sign language. It offers a student publication, known as The Mountain Echo, designed to serve as a forum for the student body of Franklin High School. Franklin High School is a part of the Macon County Schools. It is located in Franklin, N.C., and was founded in 1995.
