When we bought our house, the same agent represented both us and the sellers (first no-no). It wasn't until we went to sell the house we realized just how underrepresented we were. The kitchen needed serious rewiring to be brought to code, which we were forced to pay most of it, and even when it wasn't done correctly, our agent from Beith Associates basically said "oh well, too bad." Now that we're selling it (through a different company) and finalizing the last details, we learned that the buyers are being represented by Beith associates, and are really haggling us down and nitpicking over minutia. Even our current agent from a different realty company told us we were severely underrepresented and "really got screwed by Beith." He also told us they have a reputation for doing that to people. The people who are trying to buy our house must know the people at Beith personally, because they're getting the royal treatment. DO NOT TRUST BEITH ASSOCIATES - THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!
