Just had the best bread puddin...

Just had the best bread pudding I have EVER eaten yesterday at Cajun Invasion. Living in Louisiana the past 13 years we have become very picky when it comes to "other" places cooking cajun. The shrimp fettucine should be a signature dish along with the the most tender flavorful meat ever off the rotisserie. OH and washed it down with some awesome Hurricane daiquiris... :)

This food is great. I'm from Acadiana (home of the Cajuns). My aunt was a head chef in a popular restaurant there, and my sister has won multiple cooking contests in the Lafayette, La. area. I know good food. This food is authentic and very good. It may not be with this area is used to, but if you are expecting authentic food, this place is it.

OMG, me and my wife were just ...

OMG, me and my wife were just invited to a private tasting of the Cajun Invasion menu before they open party. Some of our friends are really close to the owners and they invited us to this event. I have lived here all my life, travelled to Cajun country and eaten alot of Louisiana products, Nashville better get ready for this, this guy is for real, I love cajun food, I have been to all the so called Cajun places here, they ain't got a chance. First off let me say the food was so good me and my wife couldn't even talk to each other we were like trying to take it all in. The crawfish etouffee was by far the best I have ever eaten, this bread called a pistollette was injected with shrimp and crawfish etouffee and fried Holy moly batman never had anything like it ever. The jambalaya was the real deal, stuffed shrimp, stuffed crabs and shrimp boulettes to die far. They had so many items, crab and corn chowder it was like a piece of Cajun heaven. I will be a regular here guys and the owners were so nice and informative. Check this place out I know we will. Set to open first week in August I think they said.
