ABOUT MDU The hallmark of MDU is quite simple. The MDU organization is dedicated to providing professional, technically superior, quality service to the Medical Excess Loss Marketplace utilizing a 'Back to Basics' approach to this class of business. Bob and Cathy Guenther both have extensive excess loss underwriting experience. Cathy has been a MGU underwriting officer in addition to establishing her own independent excess loss underwriting audit firm. Bob has been a medical excess loss and reinsurance underwriting officer. For over 15 years, each has assisted and/or instructed several stop loss underwriting organizations by guiding them to enhance systems, reporting and/or procedures. Combined, they have over 50 years of direct or directly related stop loss experience. In the spring of 2000, Bob and Cathy founded MDU. It is something they know and know well. They have strong feelings about creating a mutually beneficial business relationship for all involved parties. MDU is committed to providing excellent customer service and maintain a high level of underwriting integrity. With these beliefs, Bob and Cathy Guenther opened the doors of MDU on April 14, 2000. As MDU continues to grow, they are proud of their accomplishments and excited about the future.
