From a business environment standpoint, the United States was suffering double digit inflation and an economic recession. In that same year, Tennessee Underwriters was founded in Nashville to serve the insurance needs of independent insurance agents and their clients across Tennessee. About a year later, the company moved their office to Franklin just outside of Nashville. Since 1980, Tennessee Underwriters has helped insurance agents navigate the constantly shifting insurance markets to provide them with the products they need as markets change.
