Provided by YP.comI just received my check for items sold at Bob Brooks Auction. I am HORRIFIED!! My items sold for $115.00, and never showed up in the advertising. We had a vase worth at least $100; 40 boxes for vintage radio magazines; 1950's German porcelain bowls, many other items. Of the $115.00, I received $67.00 the rest of it went to "fees" .
This place is, apparently, wonderful for buyers; HORRIFYING for sellers. Spend the extra money for packing and sell your stuff on Ebay!

Provided by YP.comI did not understand what an auction was until I was recommended by a close friend. My parents passed away and I had to clean out their home so I could sell it. I did not have time for a yard sale since I am a full time mom and work full time. I called Mr. Brooks and his company and they were wonderful. From the information I received over the phone to the guys picking my parents things up to them selling it for me. I could not attend the auction but I did go to their "preview" where I noticed it was a family business and that made me feel even more comfortable choosing Bob Brooks Auction. I received my check the week after the auction and to my surprise my parents items so very well!! Thank you Bob Brooks Auction.

Provided by YP.comI WOULD GIVE THEM NO STARS BUT THEN THE WEBSITE WOULDNT LET ME POST NOTHING!!!!!! i WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR SELLING YOUR THINGS. THE GUYS. THE OWNER CAME OUT TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE AND TOOK PICTURES OF OUR 2 V-PLOWS (NEW) 2 SNOW BLOWERS (NEW) THEY ATTACH TO A TRACTOR. ALSO 2 STREET SWEEPERS. WE WERE TOLD THAT WE WOULD GET GOOD MONEY AND WE WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM GETTING BIDDERS. . THEY CAME BACK TO PICK UP OUR THINGS AND THEY RAN OUR FIREPIT OVER AND BACKED UP SO THEY KNEW THEY RAN IT OVER AND DECIDED TO JUST LEAVE. SO WE CALLED THEM AND TOLD THEM WHAT HAPPENED AND WE WERE TOLD TO BUY A NEW ONE AND GIVE THEM THE BILL. i CHECKED THERE WEBSITE EVERYDAY FOR 2 WEEKS THAT THEY HAD OUR THINGS AND THEY NEVER POSTED PICTURES OR MENTIONED OUR THINGS FOR AUCTION. 5 DAYS PRIOR TO THE AUCTION THE PICTURES WERE POSTED. THE AUCTION WAS ON DEC. 17TH AT 3:00PM WHICH MY HUSBAND WAS THERE TO WATCH. OUR 6 THINGS WORTH AROUND LOW BALLING IT $5000. THEY SOLD OUR STUFF FOR $900. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE EVER AGAIN. AND BY THE WAY THE $900 IS NOT INCLUDING THEIR PERCENTAGE SO WE WILL PROBABLY GET AROUND $700. IF THEY WERE THE NICE PEOPLE THEY CLAIM TO BE THEY WOULD OF LET MY THINGS GO FOR THAT LITTLE BIT.

Provided by YP.comI understand that sending items to auction is a gamble but if I had any idea that my items would be practically given away I would have felt better donating the things. A few months ago our family found it time to move my grandmother into a home for the elderly and had been storing her furniture. I was tasked with liquidating her furniture, which was a little dated but in very good condition. I never in my wildest dreams thought that 3 bedroom sets, dining room and living room furniture would go for $190, leaving me to let my family know that I got $141 for everything my grandmom owned and that we had been storing for months for $150 per month. Again I say, I would have been able to sleep better at night if I had donated Grandmom's things.

Provided by YP.comThis is a company that has been around in the South Jersey area since the 1950's. Very reputable and honest owner and staff who you can put your trust in when you consign your items with them. They package and ship your items to their auction site and you see a check within 10 days. It doesn't get any better than that!
