Established in 1983, the Carbon Valley Recreation District has a recreational center that is spread over an area of more than 5,000 square feet. It offers youth baseball and adult softball programs. The Carbon Valley Recreation District features several swimming pools, including lap, leisure and log. It also features steam room, hot tubs, water toys and water slide for young swimmers. The district s other facilities include a child care facility, walking tracks, workout areas, basketball and volleyball courts, locker arena, and aerobics, weight and multipurpose rooms. It offers tennis and swimming lessons for children, youths and adults. The Carbon Valley Recreation District organizes various summer camps, as well as C.A.R.A. TRACK, a track and field event for children between the ages of 5 and 16. Additionally, it conducts volleyball, basketball, and flag football tournaments. The Carbon Valley Recreation District is located in Frederick, Colo.
