This should be no stars. Several years ago i took my cockapoo in to be groomed. By the time i got home she was walking crooked and bumping into walls. I took her back to the vet and they xrayed her back. They told me it was an old calsified injury and put her on steroids. Thank fully she got better. My dog is now 16 years old. I called compasionate care and they said they had a new groomer. So my son took her in. At this time my little dod was fine. When they called us we picked her up. I noticed her eyes were very glassy and she seemed like she could not tell what was going on. We watched her for a couple of hours and sudenly she could not stand up. Then she had a bad siezure so we took her to another vet. By then she was howling from pain. This vet gave her something for pain and to calm her down. Now it is the next day and she can not even lift her head. We take her back to the new vet and they give her stronger medicine
Ee brought her home. Within a few hours she started having more siezures. The vet asked me to leave her with to watch over night. If she is still as bad i have to put her down.
The groomers place told me she was gone and nothing had happened. The new vet said she think some one dropped causing all of her on injuries. Please do not take you pet there.

MY DOG WOULD HAVE DIED HAD WE NOT GONE TO PEDERNALES AFTER COMPASSIONATE'S LACK OF DIAGNOSIS. My dog was bit by a rattlesnake and Compassion Care not only misdiagnosed it once, but in 5 instances, they misdiagnosed it. It was a classic snake bite situation - blood in the shape of fang marks, bleeding out with a pain shot (venom causes blood to not clot = lots of bleeding), gave me a misdiagnosis over the phone without asking any questions, we called back after our visit as our pup was still bleeding and were told "wrap it up with a sock and put tape around it." The signs were obvious to me, the owner - not the vet, which is why we got a second opinion from Pedernales. Compassion cost very critical time for treatment. We are still in the woods with recovery and can only hope he makes it through.
