Provided by YP.comTo pet owners, please do not bring your pets here. They claim to have the highest level of compassion. They do not have any compassion at all. My daughter brought her dog in and they said he would not make it through the night if he didn't have surgery. Mind you the surgery would cost an arm and a leg. They would not start any kind of surgery without the full amount up front. Then they said being he is an older dog he probably wouldn't even make it through surgery. So they said money up front or put him down. We did not have the money for surgery so my daughter decided to give him pain medication and take him home and get a second opinion in the morning somewhere else. She could just not let him go he is a part of the family. On her way home the vet decided to call animal control on her. Are you kidding me? So Rexx (her dog) made it through the night just fine. She took him to another vet in the morning and he is doing great! CARE hospital really put us through an emotional roller coaster. They do not realize that our pets are a big part of the family. So pay thousands of dollars or put him down? Seriously? They are greedy, heartless people

Provided by YP.comI am a vet receptionist that just started on the job, so I don't know much about emergency situations. Either way, when you call an emergency place you expect you can get some help. This place offered me none but that I could come into they're office and spend the extra money to see the doctor. I knew she had a fever and all I was asking is "What can I do until the morning when she has an appointment at her normal vets office to make her more comfortable?". They didn't want to help me or my cat. I know if someone called into my office, I'd help them in whatever way I could. This place failed in helping me.
I am very sorry you feel you did not receive help. Please understand that we are not able to give advice over the phone. There is no medication that you can safely give to a cat at home for a fever. Fevers usually mean something is going on that requires medical care. Our receptionists are trained specifically to not give medical advice over the phone. The doctor would not be able to do that either without seeing your pet. Without physically examining the cat, you could potentially do more harm than good, ultimately making us liable. I hope you understand our policy and why we hold to that.
