My Father is 84 and has Parkinson disease; he used to live in a facility that treated him poorly but we didn't think we could afford to place him in a better facility and my home had to many hazards. I have worked with some resource centers that were just to expensive in offering their services and the free info they gave me was not helpful. I've tried 2 home health agencies to work with him in his facility to make sure they took care of him well and their care attendants just mistreated him as well. My cousin told me about Surpassion and explained to me that they helped her 7 year old autistic son get waivers but that they also specialized in personal care and advocacy. I was very skeptic having heard this about other agencies and not getting any help, however, I didn't have any other options and didn't think things could get any worse. Surpassion treated my father like he was their own and did everything in their power to help me find a good living facility for him and helped me find resources to be able to afford it. He has 2 PCA's that work with him on a daily basis and every time I go visit him he has a smile on his face that I haven't seen since I was a child. Thank you so much for caring for my father, I thought he was nearing the end being so miserable and I feel like you literally saved his life.
