Had the fried scallops with fries and hush puppies. Best meal I've had all week. Very friendly service

I stopped at the Mad Crab on a week day and had food and drink. the service was great but the food was sub-standard. I had a chicken sandwich and it apparently had been cooked with salt. It was terrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone who was interested in enjoying their meal

My brother was here from Color...

My brother was here from Colorado and we went to this location on Thursday, July 26 as the only time he gets blue crabs is during a visit to the East coast. After leaving he stated that "the crabs were the worst I ever had, inside was dry as if they had been reheated." I would have spoken with management if I had known. We had nine people in our party with a $300.00 plus bill. The other food was good, however, I took him there for the blue crabs as I took him to the Warrenton Road location last year and he stated that the crabs were excellent. This one was closer for us but I suggest if you are going for the blue crabs, go to the Warrenton Road location.

Follwed the crabs on Route 1

Outstanding new crab and sports bar. Saw the guys dressed in crab outfits on route 1 in Spotsylvania, looked up the name and found great place. Checked the YP reviews and read good things....and they were right. Great food, lively atmosphere, tremendous service. When word really gets out about how great this place is will be tough to even get close on weekends. Give it a try. I'm going back

amazing....

My family and I, were waiting for an hour to be seated at applebees in massaponax. My 6yr. old son kept telling mommy and daddy he wanted to eat with Mr. crabs from spongebob across the street. To my surprise there is a quaint little seafood rest. called The Mad Crab. So we head over and walk into a little loud music but it was adjusted to our likings. Our server was very knowledgeable about our seafood selection as we choose the all you can eat crab legs and shrimp. My son enjoyed a delicous chicken nugget basket and even some of my crab legs.Very well done ladies and gentlemen we will return very often,to enjoy more of ur beach home feel!
