UMH Properties is a real estate investment trust that owns and operates manufactured home communities. These communities are located in New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. Its manufactured home communities provide long-term investment appreciation, are recession resistant and offer satisfactory income returns. The company has been in business since 1968 and currently owns a portfolio of 27 manufactured home communities housing approximately 6,400 home sites. UMH Properties also owns an additional land inventory of more than 500 acres for the development of new sites. In addition, it has a subsidiary, UMH Sales and Finance, which sells manufactured homes into its communities. The company trades on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol UMH. It is headquartered in Freehold, N.J.
