Yesterday, I called in a monthly prescription refill at 11 am. I drove the twenty minutes to the pharmacy at 6 pm and was told that my prescription could not be filled because it was 4 days early and they would have to call the insurance company and get approval.
I asked the pharmacist why I was not notified of the issue with my prescription and she insisted on giving me a lecture about how I should call before I pick up my prescription to make sure there are no issues. After being a customer of Freeland Pharmacy for 13 years, I have never heard of this protocol.
I ended up having to pay full price for my prescription because my insurance company was closed. I think this situation could have been handled differently. Once the pharmacist realized that my prescription was early, she should have contacted me and gotten approval to contact my insurance company so my prescription would have been ready and able to be covered by insurance.
I will not be back.

Went to fill 2 prescriptions for my kids. We use whatever pharmacy is close to us (where our day takes us so we are not driving all over). I dropped off the prescriptions and was told about 25 minutes or so. Because of this I walked around the store and picked up a few items while I waited. After about 30 minutes went to get their meds and was told they would not fill them and I could take them to one of my other pharmacies. What a waist of time, then she had the nerve to tell me well I had shopping anyways. I waisted over an hour (drive time ect.) Because of them. They could have at least paged me and told me, but they didn't even have the courtesy to do that.
