American High School, governed by the Freemont Unified School District, serves students in grades 9 through 12. The school s curriculum includes math, English, fine arts, science, social science, and health and computer education. American High School s associated student body organizes a variety of extracurricular activities, including art, chess, drama, French, Spanish and math clubs. It also offers membership opportunities to students in the National Honors Society. The school organizes a range of sports activities, such as badminton, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross-country, football, golf, soccer and swimming. American High School operates a parent-teacher-student association that participates in various academic enrichment activities.
