Asian and Pacific Islander Family Pride is volunteer organization that offers support and information to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender members and their families. It works to end the isolation of Asian and Pacific Islander families with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender members through support, education, and dialog. Its efforts are aimed at gaining recognition and acceptance among families of the sexual and gender diversity within its cultures. The organization promotes bonds between parent and child in such families, respect for diverse perspectives and interaction with various API communities and organizations. Its volunteers provide a safe space to talk, and offer their own stories to help promote understanding and acceptance within families and communities. Asian and Pacific Islander Family Pride is located in Fremont, Calif.
